Snubbers Technician
About this role
Westinghouse Field Services seeks a Snubbers Technician to join the Supports and Snubbers (SyA) team within Reactor Services. You'll execute technical testing, inspection, and maintenance of springs, snubbers, and reactor supports for Spanish nuclear power plants, working in both conventional and radiological zones under strict quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- —Execute technical testing activities including functional testing of springs and snubbers
- —Perform visual inspection and maintain hydraulic and mechanical snubbers
- —Prepare, calibrate, and maintain test instruments and testing equipment systems
- —Develop procedures, technical reports, and quality documentation
- —Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in industrial and nuclear environments
Qualifications
- —Vocational training qualification in mechanical, electrical, electronic, or industrial maintenance
- —B1 English level
- —Office software proficiency
- —Professional exposure to ionizing radiation
- —Availability for national and international travel
- —Proactive, flexible, and autonomous work style with ability to work in teams and meet deadlines
Desired
- —Knowledge of nuclear power plant systems
- —NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) certifications
- —Instrumentation knowledge
- —Experience in design, fabrication, or maintenance of equipment
- —Ability to read mechanical, electrical, and isometric drawings
- —Prior experience in nuclear plants or industrial environments
Location
National and international travel required; work in both conventional and radiological zones at Spanish nuclear power plants.
