About this role
Contract Site Project Manager at Diablo Canyon Nuclear Plant (Westinghouse) overseeing I&C (Instrumentation & Control) project execution during online operations and refueling outages. Leads cross-functional teams, manages project baselines (scope, schedule, cost, risk), and coordinates with plant operations and external partners. Reports to Manager of I&C Installation Services.
Responsibilities
- Complete project planning cycle including authoring plans, developing scope/schedule/cost baselines, and managing procurement and quality
- Manage field teams executing Work Orders; coordinate outage and online schedules with plant operations
- Monitor project performance against baselines (budget, schedule, scope); manage changes via integrated change management processes
- Acquire and resource team members per department protocols; promote metrics-driven status reporting to stakeholders
- Oversee project databases, documentation systems, and correspondence procedures for compliance and traceability
Preferred qualifications
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree, or relevant professional certificate
Location, schedule, and travel
Onsite at Diablo Canyon Nuclear Plant, Avila Beach, CA (PWR, two-unit facility). Role requires ability to travel and maintain Unescorted Access clearance.
