About this role
Lead daily operations of the fabrication department at Westinghouse's Monfalcone site, overseeing manufacturing teams across rotating shifts. Ensure safe, efficient production of nuclear fuel assemblies and components while maintaining quality standards and NRC/regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- —Assign tasks to team members based on schedules and qualifications
- —Ensure safe use of equipment and materials; report and investigate safety issues via ARC
- —Communicate company updates and safety messages during weekly team meetings
- —Conduct quality and standard work peer checks to ensure compliance with manufacturing standards
- —Implement and maintain training plans with accurate documentation
- —Coordinate with planning and production teams to track progress and address schedule deviations
- —Monitor staffing needs, apply corrective actions, and support process continuity
- —Maintain workplace organization, production records, teamwork, and up-to-date employee training records
Qualifications
- —High school diploma
- —At least 5 years of directly related experience in heavy manufacturing
- —Basic knowledge of measuring instruments and shop math
- —Proficiency reading and interpreting blueprints
- —Knowledge of Italian and English languages (minimum B2 level)
- —Availability to work three rotating shifts: 6:00 am–2:00 pm, 2:00 pm–10:00 pm, 10:00 pm–6:00 am, Monday–Friday
