Senior Licensing Engineer
About this role
Senior Licensing Engineer supporting Westinghouse's Advanced Plant reactor projects (AP1000, AP300). You will develop licensing strategies, prepare regulatory submittals (Safety Analysis Reports, license amendment requests, Topical Reports), and coordinate with the NRC and international regulatory bodies on next-generation nuclear plant designs.
Responsibilities
- —Implement licensing strategies for AP1000 and AP300 advanced reactor designs
- —Prepare regulatory submittals including Safety Analysis Reports, license amendment requests, and Topical Reports
- —Conduct 10 CFR 50.59 evaluations and assess engineering design changes for regulatory compliance
- —Support NRC and international regulatory body interactions; coordinate with Westinghouse Engineering and customers/licensees
- —Develop technical and regulatory proposals; prepare licensing presentations for internal and external stakeholders
Qualifications
- —Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Nuclear, Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical)
- —5+ years nuclear industry experience
- —Demonstrated experience with 10 CFR 50.59 evaluations, License Amendments, and Topical Reports
- —Familiarity with NRC regulations and nuclear industry guidance
- —Knowledge of AP1000 design and operations
Location
Hybrid (2 days/week in office) at Cranberry Woods, PA or Rock Hill, SC; <10% travel for customer, industry, and regulatory support.
