About this role

Senior Corporate Counsel for TerraPower's advanced nuclear reactor development and medical isotope programs. You'll provide legal support on commercial, construction, and regulatory matters—managing complex construction agreements (EPC, design-build contracts) for publicly and privately funded nuclear projects, reporting to the Associate General Counsel, and collaborating with internal teams and external counsel across the US and internationally.

Responsibilities

—Prepare, review, and negotiate construction agreements (EPC, design-build contracts) and commercial contracts for TerraPower's advanced reactor and medical isotope programs
—Lead contract administration for project teams and contractors, drafting communications, managing timelines, and addressing disputes
—Manage government contracts, grants, and compliance requirements; coordinate with outside counsel on construction and regulatory matters
—Advise on legal, regulatory, export control, and intellectual property issues affecting nuclear projects
—Maintain standard contract templates, legal policies, and document repositories; conduct legal research and create deliverables for stakeholder review
—Support contract management process improvements and provide backup coverage to legal team

Qualifications

—Minimum 8–10 years of relevant legal experience in law firm and/or in-house counsel roles
—Strong construction and commercial law background, including complex contract drafting and negotiation
—Experience with government contracts, grants, and compliance
—Demonstrated ability to document and manage complex business transactions systematically
—Background in construction, commercial contracting, technology, and/or energy sectors preferred
