Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Engineering
- 15+ years in supply chain operations
- At least 5 years in nuclear, aerospace, or other highly regulated industries
- Strong experience managing complex, long-lead item supply chains for large energy or industrial projects
- Deep knowledge of nuclear quality standards, ASME NQA-1, and supply chain compliance
- Proven ability to build, develop, and lead high-performing operational teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
About this role
Lead TerraPower's global supply chain operations for the Natrium sodium-cooled fast reactor program. This Director role owns end-to-end execution of critical nuclear component procurement, logistics, and supplier management, reporting directly to the VP of Commercial Supply Chain. You will ensure the demonstration plant and commercial fleet stay on schedule and budget while managing long-lead nuclear items, supplier performance, and a team of expediting and quality surveillance specialists.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end supply chain execution for all critical nuclear components, modules, fuel, and balance-of-plant equipment
- Lead supplier performance management, on-time delivery tracking, and corrective action programs
- Build and run the logistics, warehousing, and material kitting strategy for modular construction sites
- Manage supply chain systems, ERP integration, planning, and forecasting for long-lead nuclear items
- Drive continuous improvement in cost, quality, and delivery across the entire supplier network
- Partner closely with the Director of Supply Chain Strategy to hand off qualified suppliers into live execution
- Lead a team responsible for expediting, quality surveillance, and field material support
Preferred qualifications
- Advanced degree
- Supply chain certification (APICS CSCP or equivalent)
Location, schedule, and travel
Bellevue, Washington; onsite; 0–10% travel. Primarily sedentary work with extended sitting, typing, and visual/audio-focused tasks. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
