About this role
TerraPower seeks an EHS Coordinator to develop and oversee comprehensive environmental, health, and safety programs across nuclear facilities. You will ensure NRC, OSHA, and EPA regulatory compliance, conduct hazard assessments and incident investigations, drive continuous improvement in safety performance, and provide EHS leadership and guidance to site employees and management teams.
Responsibilities
- Ensure site-specific EHS programs, policies, and procedures align with company goals and regulatory requirements (NRC, OSHA, EPA)
- Serve as primary contact for implementing EHS programs in regional facilities and for regulatory agencies during external audits
- Conduct inspections, audits, and worksite analyses to assess compliance with regulations and identify workplace hazards (chemical, physical, ergonomic, biological)
- Lead incident investigations to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
- Develop and implement hazard controls including engineering, administrative, and PPE solutions
- Measure worker exposure to identified hazards through environmental monitoring
- Ensure EHS training programs are adopted and delivered to employees at all levels
- Track, analyze, and report on EHS performance metrics
- Develop and implement annual improvement plans based on performance data
- Collaborate with operations, training, and other teams to drive program success
- Support and mentor field service employees and local leadership teams on EHS responsibilities
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in large, complex environments or nuclear facilities
- Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) designation from the Board for Global EHS Credentialing
- Technical expertise in electrical safety or hazardous materials handling
