Required qualifications

- Complete understanding of federal cost principles
- Experience handling export-controlled information
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Business, Supply Chain, or related field
- Ability to perform job duties with little to no supervision
- Experience working in fast-paced environments with sizable workloads
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

About this role
TerraPower seeks a Senior Contract Administrator to manage complex subcontracts from pre-award through closeout, supporting advanced nuclear reactor development. This role reports to the Director of Procurement and requires expertise in federal procurement regulations (FAR, 2 CFR 200), supplier negotiation, cost management, and export control compliance.
Responsibilities
- Initiate and manage complex subcontracts from pre-award to post-award with focus on performance, change control, quality, cost and schedule
- Work with requestors to understand procurement requirements and ensure correct goods or services are procured
- Select appropriate terms and conditions for procurements and review Statements of Work for clarity
- Prepare and manage RFPs, RFQs, and Expressions of Interest
- Ensure procurement activities comply with prime contract requirements (FAR, 2 CFR 200) and company policies
- Perform cost and price analysis on supplier proposals
- Draft procurement summaries and basis-for-award documentation
- Negotiate pricing and terms with potential suppliers; issue subcontracts and agreements
- Establish and maintain internal and external customer and supplier relationships
- Perform market research to identify competitive sources
- Drive cost efficiency while maintaining quality and technical performance
- Assist in resolving subcontract interpretations, design iterations, material changes, and schedule constraints
- Monitor and expedite orders to ensure on-time delivery
- Verify receipt of items and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain complete procurement files and records
- Perform subcontract closeouts in a timely manner
