About this role
TerraPower seeks a Risk Analyst to evaluate, manage, and mitigate risks within advanced nuclear reactor development and medical isotope programs. This role reports to the Project Management Office and embeds risk management practices into complex execution strategies across project and corporate teams.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough risk assessments covering operational capacity, cost, quality, and schedule analysis
- Develop and implement risk management strategies and protocols specific to project or corporate initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (project managers, corporate teams) to develop comprehensive risk mitigation strategies
- Serve as Risk representative to project teams and facilitate adherence to risk procedures
- Monitor subcontractor and partner information to identify risk situations and implement corrective actions
- Implement risk tools and processes to develop project risk registers
- Perform complex analytical assessments including quantitative analysis, probabilistic analysis, and Monte Carlo simulations
- Partner with project teams, Legal, and outside consultants to evaluate responsibility in claim situations
- Stay current on industry trends, software products, and regulatory changes affecting nuclear industry risk management
Preferred qualifications
- Professional certifications: PE, PMP, PMI-RMP, or CRM
- Advanced degree in risk management, engineering, finance, or business administration
- Proficiency in risk management software such as Active Risk Manager
- In-depth knowledge of nuclear industry, nuclear regulatory requirements (DOE G 413.3-7A), EPC agreements, and nuclear power design principles
