About this role

Regulatory Engineer position at Dresden Nuclear Station (Constellation Energy). This multi-level role (E02/E03) directly supports nuclear plant operations and NRC regulatory compliance, with responsibilities spanning PORC/UFSAR processes, operability/reportability determinations, dry cask storage oversight, and regulatory communications. Reports under general supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Perform regulatory and technical tasks supporting nuclear plant operations, including Plant Operations Review Committee (PORC) and Updated Final Safety Analysis Report (UFSAR) change processes
  • Provide operability and reportability support, inspection planning, case management, and emergency response coordination
  • Lead corrective action and self-assessment activities; integrate operating experience into daily regulatory decision-making
  • Manage dry cask storage operations including Final Safety Analysis Report (FSAR) and Certification of Completion (CofC) change processes
  • Assure all regulatory products comply with applicable procedures, licensing basis, industry codes, and NRC requirements
  • Interface with NRC and communicate regulatory-significant site issues to Licensing organization
  • Provide administrative support for Nuclear Safety Review Board (NSRB) functions
  • Implement site commitment management items and regulatory programs; recommend process improvements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent technical degree
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain unescorted access authorization (may require medical examination per company policy)
