Reactor Engineer
About this role
Reactor Engineer role at Constellation Energy supporting nuclear plant operations. Perform engineering analysis, technical evaluations, and safety-related tasks under senior engineer supervision. Clear pathway to Qualified Nuclear Engineer (QNE) certification within 24 months, with emergency response and outage support responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- —Perform reactor engineering analysis and technical tasks in accordance with safety analyses, industry codes, and NRC regulatory requirements
- —Prepare engineering recommendations and documentation supporting reactor operations and maintenance decisions
- —Support reactor engineering work functions and emergency response duties as assigned
- —Obtain Qualified Nuclear Engineering (QNE) certification within 24 months of hire
- —Provide on-call coverage for department duties and participate in refueling outages
Qualifications
- —Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, or Nuclear)
- —Ability to maintain unescorted access to protected areas (background clearance)
- —Favorable medical examination and fitness-for-duty testing
Desired
- —Engineering in Training (EIT) certification or equivalent professional development
