Required qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree with formal technical training; or formal training with 5+ years of successful hands-on experience
  • Minimum 5 years as a Technician/Specialist leading and directing low to moderate complexity projects
  • Qualified Radiological Worker with knowledge of contamination avoidance techniques
  • Broad technical knowledge of nuclear power plant systems and operations
  • Proficiency with project management and data tools (Primavera, MSP, SAP, Active Risk Manager, Acumen Fuse, PRISM, Power BI, Tableau, or related systems)
  • Ability to develop and manage data within systems and understand database concepts
  • Effective verbal and written communication; ability to operate within complex, multi-cultural team structures

About this role

RCU Technician supporting Westinghouse reactor component upgrades at the Madison, PA facility. This 6-month+ on-site contract role involves project preparation, tooling preparation and checkout, training delivery, engineering support, and hands-on troubleshooting across multiple nuclear facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in project preparation and execution at multiple nuclear facilities
  • Prepare and checkout tooling, develop and deliver training to project teams
  • Provide engineering support and hands-on repairs to resolve equipment issues
  • Analyze and troubleshoot complex equipment problems with minimal supervision
  • Assume increased responsibility and leadership as technical knowledge improves
  • Transform raw data into visual reports and presentations for internal and external audiences
  • Support flexible work schedules as dictated by project needs

Preferred qualifications

  • 6–10 years as Technician/Specialist in power plant engineering or heavy equipment maintenance
  • Formal training in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Nuclear Engineering
  • Knowledge of utility operations, maintenance, and engineering practices
  • Knowledge of procurement processes and material management
  • Active-duty military background
  • Familiarity with utility business practices and local contracting for international projects

Location, schedule, and travel

On-site at Madison, PA; 6-month+ contract; work schedule driven by project needs.
