Required qualifications

About this role
Support Radiation/Chemistry personnel at Callaway Energy Center (PWR, Ameren) by performing decontamination, equipment transfer, and general labor tasks in potentially contaminated areas. This rotating shift position requires strict adherence to ALARA and safety protocols while working across multiple plant areas including radwaste and containment zones.
Responsibilities
- Decontaminate and clean external/internal surfaces of plant equipment, including application and removal of decontamination coatings
- Decontaminate floors, walls, and ceilings in designated contaminated areas
- Operate powered equipment including compactors and transfer equipment
- Transfer chemicals, supplies, portable shielding, Rad/Chem supplies, drums, and equipment
- Clean and transfer respirators; perform laundry and dry cleaning duties
- Assist in erecting scaffolds and rigging for Rad/Chem activities
- Support radwaste activities including drum loading, cask chaining, and cask cover removal/installation
- Assist Rad/Chem Technicians in containment setup and control point establishment
- Drive motor vehicles when directed; maintain awareness of plant emergency program and security system
Location, schedule, and travel
Callaway Energy Center, mid-Missouri; rotating or straight shift schedule as required; work in potentially contaminated areas
