Required qualifications

About this role
Senior Quality Engineer at Westinghouse supporting nuclear component manufacturing in Ogden, UT. You will develop and implement quality assurance systems compliant with NQA-1 and NRC regulatory requirements, lead root cause and failure analysis, manage customer audits, and drive continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quality standards and systems compliant with QMS, NQA-1, and customer specifications
- Lead problem-solving using 5-Why, fishbone, pFMEA, RCA, ACA, and SPC; implement poke-yoke and mistake-proofing methods
- Conduct assessments and statistical controls to identify performance improvement opportunities; develop A3 action plans
- Review customer and design engineering documentation for regulatory and specification compliance; translate requirements into test and inspection procedures
- Lead customer audits, technical surveillances, and serve as primary customer quality interface
- Lead cross-departmental continuous improvement projects including Kaizens, process automation, and COPQ reduction
- Certify products and processes; write and review quality, manufacturing, and qualification procedures
