Contract QA/QC Technician role supporting 2026 nuclear outage work at Westinghouse sites. Oversee field service quality activities for fabrication, welding, and machining operations while ensuring compliance with NRC and nuclear industry standards. Responsibilities
- Work with blueprints, sketches, production diagrams, and engineering drawings to determine critical quality characteristics and inspection methodology
- Use inspection tools and gages (calipers, micrometers, testing equipment) to validate components meet quality specifications in fabrication, welding, and machining operations
- Inspect materials, components, and assemblies to ensure compliance with specifications and industry standards
- Identify and contain non-conforming material; quarantine and document based on procedures
- Monitor product quality and provide guidance for project quality concerns
- Maintain regulatory compliance for inspection requirements, documentation, and traceability in a regulated nuclear environment
- Identify potential errors and support document control and procedure change requests
Preferred qualifications
- 5 years of experience in quality inspection supporting machining and welding operations in a regulated environment
- Understanding of ASME Codes, 10 CFR 50, NQA-1, and ANSI standards
Location, schedule, and travel
Contract seasonal work for duration of 2026 outage only; multiple Westinghouse nuclear sites; onsite work required
