Project Manager - NDE specialist
About this role
Lead NDE projects for WesDyne Sweden AB, a Westinghouse-owned mechanized non-destructive testing specialist serving the nuclear power industry. Combine technical NDE expertise with project management across assignments ranging from small quotations to large-scale nuclear projects, managing budgets, schedules, requirements, and staffing.
Responsibilities
- —Lead development of technical documentation for quotations and RFP responses
- —Serve as dual technical NDE contributor and Project Manager on assigned projects
- —Plan, execute, and track customer and internal development projects; manage financials, schedules, requirements, and resource allocation
- —Create and maintain project organizations with clearly assigned roles and responsibilities
- —Ensure all work adheres to business systems, quality standards, and WesDyne Sweden policies
- —Communicate project status, risks, and deliverables to stakeholders, customers, and internal teams
- —Support complex projects independently and in collaboration with cross-functional team members
Qualifications
- —University-level technical or quality education (or equivalent professional qualification)
- —5+ years of professional experience in NDE/NDT or related technical field
- —Proven leadership or team coordination experience
- —Fluent in Swedish and English (written and verbal)
- —Hands-on experience with ultrasonic testing, eddy current testing, or visual inspection
- —NDT certification to ISO 9712/PCN Level II minimum
Desired
- —Extensive practical experience in ultrasonic testing, eddy current testing, or visual inspection
- —Formal education, certification (e.g., ASNT, IRRSP), or documented experience in project management
Location
Hybrid role based in Täby, Sweden. Up to 50% travel to customer sites during project execution.
