About this role
TerraPower seeks a Project Manager for the Natrium advanced reactor demonstration project to oversee cost, schedule, and scope execution across all project areas. This role reports to the Sr. Project Manager and serves as the primary stakeholder interface for issue resolution and project coordination on a multi-billion-dollar nuclear energy infrastructure project.
Responsibilities
- —Manage project cost, schedule, and scope execution using project management best practices, ensuring adherence to plan and addressing deviations.
- —Drive and hold project teams accountable for achieving deliverables within budget while meeting scope and technical performance requirements.
- —Ensure technical adequacy and quality of work products to validate scope completion.
- —Lead the planning process for work scope within control accounts and serve as primary interface with project controls for integrated master control schedule (IMCS) implementation.
- —Develop and maintain staffing and resource plans, adjusting schedules for resource leveling.
- —Monitor and analyze cost and schedule variances using earned value (EV) data; determine root causes and develop corrective actions and recovery plans.
- —Work with Contract Administrator to ensure work compliance with all contractual requirements.
- —Maintain project records in accordance with corporate procedures.
- —Maintain the project risk register and ensure actions are taken to reduce project risk.
- —Work with Project Management Office (PMO) support to ensure work follows PMO requirements.
Qualifications
- —Minimum 10 years of direct experience in Project Management or Project Delivery on large projects.
- —Proven experience leading multi-million-dollar projects.
- —Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
- —Demonstrated experience working with highly multidisciplinary and matrixed teams.
- —Demonstrated experience managing projects executed under high regulatory oversight.
- —Proficiency in project planning, implementation, and delivering results.
- —Working knowledge of project scheduling, budget control, EVMS tools, and project control requirements.
- —Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio, and MS Project.
- —Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- —Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- —High degree of trust and integrity with ability to communicate openly and foster teamwork.
Desired
- —Nuclear industry experience.
- —Experience with test engineering and/or mechanical design.
- —PMP certificate.
- —Experience with Atlassian tools such as Confluence and JIRA.
- —Experience with Primavera P6.
- —Strong technical acumen and ability to understand complex technical concepts.
Location
Bellevue, Washington; position subject to ANSI/ANS 3.1 qualification requirements.
