Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), or equivalent certifications, education, and/or experience
- Minimum 10 years of project management experience with a record of completed projects
- Minimum 8 years of experience managing civil, demolition, decommissioning, or site grading projects
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Advanced computer and software skills
- CAPM (or equivalent certification, education, or experience) required
About this role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager – Civil/Demolition to oversee civil construction and demolition projects at a nuclear decommissioning site.
The selected candidate will be responsible for managing projects from initial planning through execution and closeout, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Project Planning & Execution
- Manage civil/demolition projects from planning through completion and closeout.
- Coordinate project activities to meet established schedules and budgets.
- Monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Client & Project Coordination
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the client.
- Lead project status meetings and provide progress updates.
- Manage scope changes and coordinate project requirements.
- Cost & Schedule Management
- Track project costs, budgets, and schedules.
- Support project invoicing and related documentation.
- Maintain accountability for overall project performance.
- Team Leadership & Safety
- Direct Project Supervisors and assigned project personnel.
- Ensure project activities comply with applicable OSHA, NRC, and DOT requirements.
- Promote safe work practices throughout project execution.
Preferred qualifications
- Previous experience on nuclear decommissioning or demolition projects.
- Experience working in radiological environments.
- Professional Engineer (PE) or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) credential.
- Experience managing civil/demolition work at highly regulated industrial or nuclear facilities.
Location, schedule, and travel
Contract Duration: 11+ months
Hours: 40+
