About this role
Field Services Project Engineer for Westinghouse's Steam Generators Business Unit, executing operational activities, engineering work, and project management on nuclear power plant sites primarily in France. Role combines technical hands-on work (equipment installation, maintenance, system checks) with engineering responsibilities and project coordination. 80% travel requirement.
Responsibilities
- —Install and connect flexible hoses, piping systems, and bolted joint assemblies to torque specifications on nuclear plant equipment
- —Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems; conduct system alignment and operational checks (pump, boiler, compressor startup, valve operation)
- —Lead design, manufacturing, and equipment repair projects; establish intervention procedures and ensure regulatory compliance
- —Monitor and inspect plant systems; manage inventory, tools, and materials; handle chemical products under controlled conditions
- —Create and update project schedules, logistics tracking, and final reports; assist Project Manager with site planning and coordination
- —Uphold Westinghouse nuclear safety, radiation protection, environmental, and quality requirements; work at height in compliance with safety regulations
Qualifications
Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineer (Bac +5 / Engineering degree minimum) with 3–5 years professional experience. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and SAP. Competency in mechanical and electrical systems. Strong organizational and analytical skills.
Desired
Professional certifications in nuclear field (SCN, RP, CSQ preferred). Proficiency with general office software (Bureautique).
Location
Home-based in France with 80% travel to nuclear power plant sites (primarily French locations). Work at height and on-site operational activities required.
