Procurement Assistant (Intern)
About this role
Procurement Assistant internship with Westinghouse's Global Supply Chain Team supporting nuclear energy procurement. You'll assist buyers and supply chain leads with purchase orders, vendor management, approved supplier list administration, and delivery coordination for nuclear equipment and materials.
Responsibilities
- —Assist Buyers and Senior Buyers with purchase order placement, analysis, and data collection
- —Check deliveries against purchase orders to verify materials arrive intact and in correct quantities
- —Manage creation and maintenance of new vendors in the Approved Supplier List in coordination with Buyers and commercial teams
- —Support resolution of Purchase Order and Invoice issues with Accounts Payable
- —Collaborate with internal customers, suppliers, and stakeholders on procurement matters
- —Provide daily, weekly, and monthly reporting on procurement activities and achievements
Qualifications
Currently enrolled pursuing bachelor's or master's degree in business administration, management, economics, or technical fields. Fluency in written and spoken English. Availability minimum 20–30 hours per week. Very good knowledge of MS Office. Good analytical skills with attention to detail, systematic approach, and ability to multitask.
Location
Hybrid model with flexible working hours; minimum 20+ hours per week
