Principal I&C Parts Product Engineer
About this role
Principal I&C Parts Product Engineer at Westinghouse supporting the Parts Business Product Management group. Drive product strategy, obsolescence management, and market development for instrumentation & control components across global nuclear reactor fleets. Manage strategic initiatives, supplier relationships, and lifecycle programs for nuclear-qualified parts.
Responsibilities
- —Identify and develop strategic product offerings; pursue target markets for I&C parts in the nuclear sector
- —Develop and execute obsolescence management programs: monitor/identify obsolescence risks, classify needs, and develop resolution strategies
- —Develop business cases for project funding, pricing, and strategic decisions
- —Manage strategic projects and supplier teaming arrangements
- —Support project teams on part delivery, product development, and offer development
- —Conduct market assessments and acquisition evaluations
- —Support sales organization with product value propositions; lead commercial discussions with suppliers and customers
- —Collaborate with engineering and design teams on part design, equipment qualification, and lifecycle considerations
- —Resolve customer issues, order fulfillment, new product development, and supplier challenges
- —Travel worldwide (North/South America, Europe, Asia) to customer sites, suppliers, and industry conferences
Qualifications
- —8+ years experience in product management, parts business, or nuclear supply chain
- —Bachelor's degree in engineering from accredited university
- —Experience with nuclear products market and product management concepts
- —Ability to manage multiple domestic and international stakeholders effectively
Location
Cranberry Township, PA (headquarters); remote work permitted throughout United States; extensive worldwide travel required (Americas, Europe, Asia)
