About this role
Operations Manager at Westinghouse Nuclear responsible for managing multi-year resource plans, personnel, equipment, and procurement across a portfolio of nuclear service projects. You will ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and cost-effectiveness while supporting on-site nuclear facility interventions and maintenance activities.
Responsibilities
- —Define and implement multi-year resource plans aligned with programmed nuclear service activities
- —Deliver integrated resource plans for on-site intervention personnel and equipment, ensuring certified human resources meet client and Westinghouse requirements
- —Develop integrated procurement plans for materials and services; implement cost-effectiveness actions through efficient procurement and logistics
- —Ensure safety and regulatory compliance on Westinghouse job sites; define and implement improvements to training, operational, and maintenance practices
- —Establish and manage business relationships with CNPEs, Central Contractors, and subcontractors to secure qualified resources for on-site operations
- —Prepare and carry out on-site interventions meeting contractual requirements, safety, security, and quality standards
- —Manage overall profitability of project portfolios, resolve resource conflicts between shutdown and product managers, and support product/project managers on contracts
Qualifications
- —University-level degree in engineering or related discipline
- —5–10 years of experience in nuclear service delivery or engineering
- —In-depth knowledge of nuclear services and operational/regulatory needs of nuclear facilities
- —Experience in planning, project management, and continuous improvement processes
- —Understanding of business, financial processes, and cost optimization
- —Problem-solving skills with creative planning and resource management; ability to resolve conflicts and motivate workforce
