About this role

The Operations Instructor designs, develops, and delivers training for nuclear power plant operators across multiple certification levels (non-licensed operator, licensed operator, Shift Manager, Shift Technical Advisor). You'll work in classroom and simulator settings, evaluate trainee performance, maintain accredited training programs, and support plant operations including emergency response.

Responsibilities

—Analyze and design training curricula for non-licensed operator, licensed operator, Shift Manager, and Shift Technical Advisor programs
—Develop and conduct training in classroom and simulator settings for all operator training programs
—Develop and administer examinations for operator training programs
—Pursue and maintain qualifications including general instructor, simulator booth operator, SRO Certification, and simulator floor instructor certifications
—Assist with self-assessments and evaluations of operator training programs
—Support plant refueling outages and function as member of site Emergency Response Organization (ERO)
—Maintain training program documentation and manage corrective action plans

Qualifications

—Expertise or familiarity with power plant operations
—Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
—Ability to present training material to varied class sizes and experience levels
—Organizational and administrative skills to produce, maintain, and deliver accredited performance-based training
—Self-motivated with ability to work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision
—Ability to satisfy NRC security requirements
