Operations Instructor (Nuclear)
About this role
Entergy is seeking an Operations Instructor to develop and deliver NRC-compliant training programs for licensed and non-licensed nuclear operators and shift technical advisors. This role is critical to maintaining a pipeline of qualified personnel across Entergy's reactor fleet through replacement, requalification, and upgrade training programs.
Responsibilities
- —Administer training programs using systematic approach to training (SATT) methodology to ensure availability of qualified and licensed nuclear operations personnel
- —Interface with line personnel to analyze performance needs, recommend training solutions, and coordinate program implementation across sites and corporate groups
- —Analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate NRC-compliant training materials and programs for reactor operations
- —Evaluate training effectiveness and recommend program modifications to meet operational and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- —5 years of nuclear plant experience (commercial or military) OR B.S. Degree in education, engineering, or related technical field
- —For Non-Licensed Instructor: At least 3 years of front-line operational experience (commercial or military) and technical proficiency in assigned instruction area
- —For Senior Instructor: At least 3 years of front-line experience and technical proficiency; current or previously SRO-licensed/certified
- —For Senior Staff Instructor: At least 5 years of experience in associated line organization
- —Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- —Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Desired
- —SRO license or certification on BWR, PWR, or both reactor types (preferred for Non-Licensed Instructor)
- —3 years prior SRO licensing experience on PWR (preferred for Senior Staff Instructor)
Location
Onsite in Killona, Louisiana; up to 25% travel; professional/non-bargaining position
