Constellation is seeking an Operations Training Instructor or Senior Operations Training Instructor at Braidwood Nuclear Power Station in Illinois. This role develops, implements, and evaluates nuclear licensed operations training programs for Reactor Operators (RO) and Non-Licensed Operators (NLO) using a systematic approach to training model. The instructor drives plant performance improvement through performance-based training delivery, simulator instruction, and hands-on evaluation across classroom, laboratory, and OJT environments.

Responsibilities

—Coordinate and conduct performance-based Reactor Operator (RO) and Non-Licensed Operator (NLO) training programs in accordance with Constellation's systematic approach to training model
—Maintain and update current training programs incorporating INPO Significant Operating Experience Reports, NRC Bulletins, procedure changes, regulatory updates, and training effectiveness reports
—Prepare trainee examinations and conduct evaluations in classroom, laboratory, OJT, and simulator environments
—Conduct counseling sessions with trainees, evaluate results, and develop individualized training programs
—Maintain knowledge of plant operations and disciplinary skills to develop and conduct effective, high-quality training
—Supervise collection and maintenance of auditable training records and reports documenting training program activities
—Participate in NRC, INPO, and management audits; prepare responses to audit findings
—Support CEC and fleet in business initiatives, project management, refuel outage support, emergency preparedness, and special projects

Qualifications

—High school diploma/GED with 6 years of related power plant operator experience (test reactor, commercial, industrial, or military), OR
—Associate's degree in technical discipline, education, or training with 4 years of related power plant operator experience, OR
—Bachelor's degree in engineering (chemical, civil/structural, electrical, industrial, mechanical, or nuclear) or related science with 2 years of related power plant operator experience
—Meet or exceed ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014 (4.5.4) Standard requirements for nuclear power plant personnel
—Maintain minimum access requirement or unescorted access eligibility
—Pass favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties
