Senior-level nuclear maintenance planner at NextEra Energy nuclear sites responsible for strategic planning, scheduling, and documentation of preventive and corrective maintenance activities. This 1-year contract role (W-2) involves interfacing with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering departments to ensure safe, compliant task execution while occasionally serving as site lead.
Responsibilities
Plan and organize preventive and corrective maintenance activities for plant equipment and systems
Create clear and sequenced work instructions aligned with industry standards and NRC regulatory requirements
Conduct field walkdowns to identify and analyze corrective, preventative, and surveillance maintenance needs
Review and interpret Engineering Change implementation requirements and coordinate with Operations and Engineering
Support testing and implementation of planning and scheduling applications across NextEra nuclear fleet
Serve as lead planner and provide mentorship to junior planner-schedulers
Attend site, fleet, and outage departmental meetings as departmental representative
Preferred qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Trade School or technical certificate program completion
5+ years of nuclear industry experience
Location, schedule, and travel
Jupiter, Florida 33478. 1-year W-2 contract assignment. Onsite role with occasional travel to support multiple NextEra Energy nuclear sites. Per diem available.
