Required qualifications

Minimum Associate's Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related technical field, or equivalent 10 years plant experience in a technical field

Minimum 7+ years of nuclear power plant experience, with at least 4 years in maintenance planning or equivalent technical role

Fluency in ISI, IST, ASME Section XI, ANI, ANII, and Weld Travelers

Demonstrated progression in planning responsibilities and complexity of work assignments

Senior Nuclear Outage Mechanical Planner for a 1-year W-2 contract position at a nuclear power facility. Develop comprehensive work packages for maintenance, modifications, and surveillance activities, ensuring safe and compliant execution of complex nuclear systems work.

Responsibilities

Develop detailed work order task descriptions, including step-by-step instructions, material requirements, tool lists, and post-maintenance testing requirements

Plan complex maintenance activities including ASME Section XI work, ISI/IST programs, and modification packages

Ensure work packages comply with regulatory requirements, technical specifications, and plant procedures

Coordinate clearance requirements and equipment isolation strategies with Operations

Identify and resolve technical issues during the planning phase to prevent field delays

Preferred qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related science
