Nuclear Analysis Tech C / Engineering Techs / Physics Techs
About this role
Nuclear Analysis Technician supporting Westinghouse engineers in generating, assembling, and verifying nuclear analysis information. You will work with technical data, computer systems, and nuclear engineering calculations in an AWSE Union position.
Responsibilities
- —Assist engineers in technical functions related to generation, assemblage, and verification of nuclear analysis information
- —Analyze, summarize, and prepare data into written and graphic form using algebraic and trigonometric calculations
- —Review computer program input utilizing computer input sheets and verify program logic
- —Prepare computer input alterations and modifications based on raw data analysis
- —Assist in modification of existing non-complex computer programs
- —Catalog and maintain computer input and output files, calculation notes, and associated records
- —Run data analysis and computer plotting programs utilizing existing computer systems
- —Support various engineering activities within assigned functional group as needed
Qualifications
Associate's Degree with technical curriculum (required) including 2 courses in Mathematics and 2 courses in Physics. Alternatively: 60 college credits in an Engineering Curriculum with 2 courses in Math and 2 courses in Physics. No amount of experience will substitute for required education; recognized technical programs (Naval Nuclear, military programs) may substitute for formal education.
Location
On-site at Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania. No relocation assistance available.
