About this role
NDT Technician role within Westinghouse's Inspection Services department, based in Villejust, France. Perform non-destructive testing (UT, Visual, ET, PAUT) at nuclear power plants across France and Europe, inspecting reactor vessel components, steam generators, baffle bolts, and vacuum vessel splice plates. Opportunities to develop into supervisory or project management positions.
Responsibilities
- —Carry out non-destructive inspection activities (Ultrasonic, Visual, Advanced UT) at NPP sites in France or Europe
- —Perform UT baffle bolt inspections at French, European, and Asian nuclear facilities
- —Conduct UT inspections of Steam Generators and vessel head penetrations
- —Execute UT and ET non-destructive examinations of reactor vessel components
- —Perform PAUT inspections of Vacuum Vessel Splice Plates
- —Complete NDT maintenance work at Nivelles (Belgium) site
- —Perform acquisition (automated or manual) or analysis missions depending on assigned tasks
- —Conduct office work including development and qualification of new inspection tools with Inspection Engineers
Qualifications
- —Bac+2 level diploma in non-destructive testing (NDT)
- —UT Level 2 certification (according to COFREND or ISO 9712)
- —Valid driver's license (category B)
- —Good level of English
- —Autonomous working style with strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
Desired
- —Knowledge of PAUT techniques
- —Second NDT method certification, preferably surface inspection method (VT2 or PT2)
- —Leadership competencies for supervisor track development
Location
Based in Villejust, France; approximately 60% travel to French nuclear sites with occasional work abroad; work at Cadarache facility may occur depending on profile.
