About this role
Full-time Mechanical Assembler III role at Westinghouse's Shoreview, MN facility, building first-of-a-kind nuclear equipment and components. You will perform mechanical assembly, machining, and equipment operation on nuclear systems and assemblies following technical drawings and specifications.
Responsibilities
- Perform small and large mechanical assembly builds of nuclear equipment following technical drawings and specifications
- Drill, tap, and machine hardware to tolerance using precision equipment (lathe, surface grinder, drilling tools)
- Operate overhead cranes and forklifts to move assemblies and materials in the shop
- Use precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, dial gauges) to verify tolerances and assembly accuracy
- Conduct routine equipment maintenance and perform machine shop work as required by project schedules
