Required qualifications

- 10+ years of nuclear engineering experience
- 2+ years of previous supervisory or mentoring experience or equivalent people leadership experience
- Experience in multi-discipline engineering leadership and plant architecture
- Knowledge of NRC/DOE regulations and risk-informed licensing approaches
About this role
Manager of Plant Design Integration leading a geographically diverse team to develop integrated nuclear island and plant-level design deliverables for TerraPower's Natrium advanced reactor. Combines personnel management, project oversight, and technical leadership focused on plant architecture, system integration, and NRC licensing alignment.
Responsibilities
- Lead geographically diverse team and partner design organizations to develop integrated nuclear island and plant-level design deliverables with focus on plant architecture, technical leadership, and cross-discipline alignment
- Lead development and communication of plant architecture including system interactions, functional allocations, interfaces, and design/analysis assumptions
- Lead team developing plant-level integration deliverables such as plans, strategies, design basis documents, and plant design specifications in collaboration with engineering, licensing, safety analysis, and PRA teams
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the Plant Design Products team and support development of integration engineering capabilities
- Facilitate technical integration reviews, configuration discussions, and architecture strategy sessions across multiple disciplines
- Lead multi-discipline technical issue resolution affecting major plant systems decisions
- Ensure alignment of plant architecture and design documentation with the Licensing Modernization Process (LMP) including risk-informed categorization and defense-in-depth evaluations
- Manage Design Integration team staffing, schedules, deliverable scoping, planning and performance
- Provide personnel management, professional development, mentoring, and hiring support
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with PRA, safety analysis, and high temperature systems
- Experience with ASME NQA-1 or ISO 9001
- Ability to manage numerous competing priorities concurrently and work with minimal direction to solve multi-disciplinary problems
- High degree of trust and integrity with open communication and desire to foster teamwork
Location, schedule, and travel
Onsite; 0–10% travel; work conditions include extended sitting (>8 hours/day), visual and audio focused work, minimal physical exertion with ability to lift up to 25 lbs, typing/keyboard work
