Manager Engineering
About this role
Manager of the engineering function at a Constellation power generation facility. Leads engineering personnel, ensures regulatory compliance, drives site operations and reliability, and reports to the Technical Manager. Serves as senior technical resource for fleet-wide engineering programs and initiatives.
Responsibilities
- —Manage engineering function aligned with station needs and NRC regulatory requirements
- —Manage performance and development of assigned engineering personnel
- —Lead short-term and long-term technical programs impacting site operations and reliability
- —Participate in business planning, budget, and performance reviews for assigned staff
- —Serve as senior resource to fleet-wide programs regarding standardized engineering systems and processes
- —Provide backup support to Technical Manager and duty coverage for outage activities
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical) or related science, OR Licensed Professional Engineer with 5+ years of engineering/relevant experience including 1+ year of power plant experience. 5+ years of power plant, industrial, or manufacturing experience. Power generation experience required. Technical leadership experience (e.g., Duty Team Lead, Inspection Lead). Maintain required site access or unescorted access requirements. Favorable medical examination per position duties.
Desired
Professional Engineer Registration. Advanced technical degree (Master's).
Location
On-site at Constellation power generation facility; may require call-out and support for outage activities outside standard department hours.
