About this role
Advanced technical engineering management role at Constellation (largest US nuclear fleet operator). Lead engineering programs and serve as technical expert for reactor operations, equipment systems analysis, and regulatory compliance across nuclear plant sites.
Responsibilities
- —Provide in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage and implement engineering analysis, activities and programs
- —Serve as subject matter expert to identify and resolve equipment and system problems through direct involvement and consultation
- —Fulfill engineering and technical leadership accountability for short-term and long-term programs impacting site operations
- —Perform engineering and technical tasks applying general engineering principles and design criteria
- —Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work with proper configuration management and adherence to standard design criteria, practices, procedures and codes
- —Conduct independent research, reviews, studies and analyses in support of technical projects and programs
- —Recommend equipment, new concepts and techniques to improve performance, reduce costs, correct design flaws, or comply with regulatory changes
- —Fulfill emergency response duties and department coverage as assigned
Qualifications
- —Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Nuclear) or related science
- —OR Professional Engineer License
- —OR Active/Inactive SRO License with 5 years of engineering or related experience, including 1 year of nuclear power plant experience
- —Maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements as applicable
- —Favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties
Desired
- —Supervisory or managerial experience
- —Professional Engineer Registration
- —Advanced technical degree or related coursework
- —Project Management Experience
