Required qualifications
- with project scheduling (Primavera P 6), project management software and data visualization tools (Power BI).
- Strong problem-solving skills, analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to identify trends and variances with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power Point, and Word Exposure to structured or regulated environments (energy, utilities, industrial, or similar) preferred, including basic knowledge of nuclear plant systems.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams Strong written and verbal communication skills, including but not limited to the ability to make formal presentations to management High attention to detail, strong organization skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities under guidance.
- Ability to travel (including overnight travel) as required to support project execution.
- Key Metrics Safety – 100% compliance with NRC and fleet standards; zero violations.
- Schedule – On-time completion of estimates and reporting to support project timelines Cost – ≥95% budget adherence with proactive variance control.
- Integration – Upgrades deliver increased capacity and long-term reliability.
About this role
As a senior member of the Fleet Project Management Office (PMO), the Major Projects Analyst supports Vistra’s nuclear growth strategy by providing PMO, project controls, and analytical support for multi‑billion‑dollar initiatives such as Extended Power Uprates and other major projects.
