About this role
Lead the electrical maintenance team at Plant Hatch, a two-unit boiling water reactor nuclear facility near Baxley, GA. This supervisor role manages all electrical maintenance activities, owns the Corrective Action Program, ensures NRC and safety compliance, and drives workforce excellence across the electrical discipline.
Responsibilities
- —Lead and supervise electrical maintenance technicians on all corrective and preventive maintenance activities, safety compliance, and equipment reliability
- —Own and manage the Corrective Action Program and corrective/elective maintenance backlog for electrical systems
- —Execute the Work Management Process to ensure all maintenance is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved written procedures
- —Provide on-the-job coaching, performance feedback, training evaluation, and development opportunities to team members
- —Participate in Maintenance Ownership and Subject Matter Expert initiatives to support continuous improvement
- —Ensure all activities comply with NRC requirements, OSHA standards, and plant procedures
- —Maintain workforce productivity, participate in benchmarking activities, and align team efforts with Southern Nuclear strategic goals
- —Demonstrate ownership of nuclear safety, personnel safety, and equipment reliability as overriding priorities
Qualifications
- —High School Diploma or equivalent
- —5+ years of experience in electrical discipline
- —1+ year of nuclear power plant experience
- —Working knowledge of NRC and OSHA requirements
- —Familiarity with plant design and function
- —Understanding of IBEW contract, plant maintenance practices, and shop operations
- —Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- —Ability to handle multiple priorities and work in various environments including temperature extremes
- —Must meet NRC Fitness for Duty requirements and pass background screening
- —Must meet physical requirements of the position
Desired
- —2-year Associate Degree in Electronics, Electronic Technology, Instrumentation, or equivalent military training
- —Previous work order planning experience
Location
Plant Hatch, near Baxley, GA. Schedule: 12-hour rotating shift or 12-hour rotating relief schedule.
