About this role
Maintenance Mechanic A at Westinghouse's Newington, NH nuclear manufacturing facility. Perform advanced troubleshooting and complex repairs on electrical and mechanical equipment supporting nuclear component production, including CNC systems, pneumatic controls, hydraulic systems, and plant infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- —Support installation and development of maintenance functions for new or reconfigured electrical and mechanical equipment
- —Provide technical advisement to production processes and coordinate equipment modifications for performance optimization
- —Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery and plant systems
- —Execute repairs on electrical and mechanical systems within the plant and production machinery
- —Maintain pneumatic controls for building systems and production machinery
- —Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on hydraulic systems on production machinery
- —Troubleshoot, install, repair, and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment
- —Install and debug complex CNC control systems using advanced diagnostic techniques and software
- —Work from electrical/mechanical drawings, schematics, and diagnostic software
- —Requisition parts and materials
- —Participate in L2L maintenance program
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED; familiarity with blueprints, schematics, ladder diagrams, and PLC logic; basic familiarity with CNC programming languages.
