About this role

Westinghouse seeks Junior Health Physics Technicians to provide radiation protection coverage and oversight at nuclear power plants across the United States. Responsibilities include routine radiation surveys, contamination monitoring, and support for ALARA planning to ensure safe operations and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Radiation Protection coverage and oversight for power-plant activities
  • Conduct radiation and contamination surveys
  • Perform material and equipment surveys
  • Assist with material escort duties
  • Support ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) planning
  • Help with decontamination activities
  • Support implementation of Site Emergency Plan

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Training in applicable OSHA, DOT, and EPA regulations
  • Ability to satisfy all requirements for Level II Nuclear Access Badge
  • Meet all applicable requirements to maintain unescorted access

Location

Multiple nuclear power plant locations across the United States; onsite work required.
