Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, technology, education, or a related discipline; relevant U.S.
- Navy nuclear training and qualification; or an equivalent combination of education and applicable experience. 0+ years expereince.
- No prior nuclear-industry or formal instructor experience.
- Learn technical material, use approved sources, accept coaching, and complete a structured qualification path.
- Maintain required nuclear power plant access, customer access, and assigned qualifications.
- Internship, cooperative education, military, laboratory, tutoring, facilitation, public speaking, or technical-presentation experience.
- Coursework or experience in engineering, physical sciences, power generation, control systems, thermodynamics, education, or related technical disciplines.
- Classroom and simulator support may require extended on-site periods.

Responsibilities
- Complete a structured development and qualification path in nuclear fundamentals, AP 1000 plant systems, adult learning, instructional methods, simulator fundamentals, and applicable customer requirements, progressing toward AP 1000 SRO Instructor certification.
- Support assigned Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) activities and initial and continuing training needs analyses by performing research, approved-source review, training-material maintenance, and defined development tasks under qualified direction.
- Prepare and deliver assigned classroom, laboratory, plant, or simulator training segments under observation while completing required qualifications.
- After qualification, develop, author, and deliver assigned training products within approved scope and required review controls.
- Use approved technical sources and comply with applicable review, traceability, and configuration-control requirements.
- Obtain required qualified review before teaching or changing technical content.
- Support identification, documentation, analysis, testing, implementation, and verification of simulator corrections within assigned qualification and authority.
- Support development of instructional materials, including digital learning content, multimedia, video, models, simulator-based materials, and other instructional technologies.
- Maintain assigned technical, instructor, simulator, site-access, security, customer, and AP 1000 SRO Instructor qualifications.
Location, schedule, and travel
is approximately 25% and may include domestic and international travel We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $58,400 to $80,000 per year.
