Required qualifications

- 1 year of nuclear experience
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Pass criminal background check, drug/alcohol screen (including medical and recreational marijuana and CBD oil), and employment testing
About this role
Westinghouse I&C Technician supporting nuclear facilities across North and South Carolina. Install, repair, and maintain instrumentation and control systems (pressure, flow, temperature, chemical composition monitoring) during outage contracts, reporting to the I&C Supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Plan, layout, assemble, install and repair electronic and pneumatic instruments, including primary piping and tubing
- Select appropriate pipe types and sizes per job specifications; measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install primary piping and tubing
- Install, repair, maintain, and adjust indicating, recording and controlling instruments used to measure pressure, flow, temperature, motion, and chemical composition
- Disassemble malfunctioning instruments and test equipment; examine circuitry and mechanisms for defects; perform periodic inspection and calibration adjustments
- Read and interpret technical instructions and documentation to plan work activities; install support structures and components
- Observe and comply with all safety and project rules
Location, schedule, and travel
Onsite at various nuclear facilities in North and South Carolina; outage contract position
