About this role
Junior Heat Treatment Operator at Westinghouse's Monfalcone nuclear fabrication facility. Operate furnaces and thermal treatment equipment for post-welding heat treatment of nuclear components. Report to Nuclear Fabrication Manager.
Responsibilities
- —Conduct prestart-up checks on heat treating equipment
- —Prepare furnace and localized thermal treatment equipment for operations
- —Monitor heating and cooling cycles; adjust and control temperatures and heating times per project procedures
- —Read temperature instruments and charts to maintain specifications
- —Detect and report equipment malfunctions to supervisors
- —Move parts and furnace components manually or with hoists/cranes
- —Support fitters in nuclear fabrication operations
- —Comply with company safety, quality, risk, and security procedures
Qualifications
- —Professional school diploma
- —Minimum 6 years heat treatment operations experience
- —Italian and English language proficiency (B1 level minimum)
- —Ability to work three-shift schedule (6:00 am–2:00 pm, 2:00 pm–10:00 pm, 10:00 pm–6:00 am)
Location
Monfalcone, Italy. Three-shift onsite schedule Monday–Friday. Manual material handling and equipment operation required.
