About this role

Supervising Engineer at Callaway Energy Center, a 1,100+ person nuclear facility in mid-Missouri. You'll oversee engineering teams responsible for nuclear plant design, systems, programs, and component engineering, ensuring safe operations and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate engineering teams in nuclear plant design, systems, programs, or component engineering
  • Provide engineering support including operating experience sharing, work prioritization, corrective action processes, and training
  • Direct preparation, review, and recommend approval of procedures for workgroup activities
  • Review and approve requisitions for plant equipment, materials, and spare parts
  • Establish technical competence requirements for positions and evaluate engineer performance
  • Schedule work assignments to match personnel resources with plant needs
  • Ensure conformance with Quality Assurance procedures and Technical Specifications
  • Recommend procurement of external engineering assistance based on workload and expertise needs

Preferred qualifications

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification
  • Current or previous nuclear operations experience, license, or certificate (SRO, RO)
  • Nuclear power plant engineering experience
  • Completion of nuclear plant systems training program (12-week NSSS vendor programs)

Location, schedule, and travel

Mid-Missouri. Standard day shift in office/plant environment; additional hours and rotating shifts required during refueling outages and emergent plant activities.
