Required qualifications

Minimum 3 years of nuclear industry experience. General knowledge of nuclear power plant operations, maintenance, and outage operations. Training or background in electrical, electronic, or mechanical disciplines. Knowledge of mathematics. Enrollment in or completion of a predetermined qualification or certification program.

About this role

Field Service Technician providing maintenance, repair, and upgrade services at nuclear power plant sites and Westinghouse service centers. Focus on instrumentation & control (I&C) and fuel handling equipment systems. Work includes outage execution, equipment refurbishment, troubleshooting, and crew leadership under Westinghouse safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform outage activities including training, preparation, execution, and closeout of outage projects
  • Execute non-outage work: equipment refurbishment, repair, component upgrades, and troubleshooting at customer and Westinghouse sites
  • Supervise and lead crews before, during, and after outage and project work
  • Develop subject matter expertise in I&C and fuel handling equipment systems
  • Perform all tasks under general supervision following qualified procedures and quality standards
  • Document quality-related issues and maintain attention to detail
  • Participate in performance-based training programs to acquire qualifications and certifications
  • Participate in safety training for hazardous environments and safety equipment operation
  • Travel to power plant sites and interact with customers

Location, schedule, and travel

Springfields. Hybrid with required travel to access power plants and customer sites.
