Field Service Technician II providing specialized reactor services at nuclear power plants and Westinghouse service centers. Operate and maintain NDE (non-destructive examination) systems, robotic platforms, and reactor cleaning equipment. This role requires unescorted access to hazardous materials environments and 50–70% travel to customer sites.
Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot reactor services equipment including NDE technology, robotic systems, and cleaning processes at customer nuclear facilities
- Perform Service Center support functions: equipment maintenance, decontamination, calibration, material handling, packing/shipment preparation
- Review and provide input on operational and maintenance procedures; document equipment performance issues and ensure corrective actions are completed
- Support product engineering and training through equipment modifications, mock-up preparation, process testing, and qualifications
- Oversee assigned projects and small teams; provide technical guidance to co-workers
- Maintain certifications and stay current with nuclear reactor technology and procedures through performance-based training
Location, schedule, and travel
Based at Chattanooga service center; 50–70% travel to nuclear power plant sites; onsite field work in hazardous materials environments.
