Field & Manufacturing Technician
About this role
Field Manufacturing Technician supporting Westinghouse nuclear manufacturing operations. Responsible for manufacturing, testing, and deploying integrated mechanical and electrical systems for nuclear applications, including outage support equipment and field installations at nuclear facilities.
Responsibilities
- —Manufacture, test, and peer-check subparts and fully integrated systems to engineering procedures, CAD drawings, and schematics
- —Assist, support, and coach Level I and peer technicians with work assignments
- —Support and assist in rebuilds of outage support systems
- —Perform onsite deployment, maintenance, setup, and operation of integrated systems at nuclear facilities
- —Generate purchase requisitions from system packages
Qualifications
- —High school diploma or equivalent
- —2+ years of relevant hands-on technician experience
- —Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
- —Understanding of subparts and fully integrated systems
- —Soldering experience (J-STD-001)
- —Experience with Digital Multimeters, HI Pot testers, Oscilloscopes, power supplies, and calipers
Desired
Equivalent combination of education and experience; nuclear facility or outage support background preferred
Location
Brattleboro, VT; 30–50% travel required; onsite work at nuclear facilities
