Field Electronics Technician supporting Westinghouse's nuclear outage operations. This travel-intensive role performs electro-mechanical maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting at operating nuclear plants, with potential international assignments to support equipment fabrication, servicing, and compliance with NRC and customer license requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Perform electro-mechanical projects and assignments following established procedures under supervision of higher-classified technicians
  • Disassemble, clean, decontaminate, inspect, and repair mechanical, electrical, welding, and hydraulic equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment during fabrication, maintenance, and equipment servicing
  • Operate machine tools, electrical test equipment, welding equipment, and measuring devices for fabrication, troubleshooting, repair, calibration, and maintenance
  • Read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics, drawings, and blueprints
  • Record data in required forms and maintain detailed service records
  • Demonstrate proficiency with basic and power hand tools and electrical equipment
  • Develop awareness of ALARA principles, security requirements, and Westinghouse and customer license requirements

Location, schedule, and travel

Travel position to multiple nuclear plants. 12-hour shifts (days or nights); 6–7 day work weeks periodically on site; potential international travel. Work in confined spaces with challenging conditions and decontamination requirements.
