Required qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent IT Security and IT systems experience. 3+ years managing information systems and system security. Experience with networking equipment, Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, TCP/IP, Oracle, UNIX, and SQL. CAA Access and DOE Q-level security clearance required. Understanding of ISO 27001 Information Security Standard. Ability to solve security weaknesses discovered from incidents, audits, and inspections.
About this role
IT Security Specialist at ETC USA's Eunice, NM uranium enrichment facility. Responsible for implementing and maintaining information security policies, system accreditation, security testing, and incident response for classified networks in compliance with NRC and DOE regulations.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and implement ETC USA information security policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines in compliance with NRC and DOE regulatory requirements
- Achieve and maintain full system accreditation by DOE for all classified systems; prepare, review, and maintain Certification and Accreditation packages (ISSPs, network diagrams, procedures)
- Conduct periodic security testing and quarterly/annual reviews to evaluate system integrity and prevent data loss or compromise of classified information
- Identify security vulnerabilities and provide mitigation guidance for classified and accredited systems
- Perform troubleshooting, repairs, testing, and maintenance of classified networks and equipment per approved plans
- Develop, maintain, and provide user training on information security; serve as interim Facility Security Officer (FSO) as needed
- Generate condition reports and document issues in the corrective action program; maintain computer network documentation and software/hardware inventory
Preferred qualifications
5+ years managing information systems and system security. Knowledge of federal requirements (NRC, DOE, NIST) for Information Systems Security.
Location, schedule, and travel
Eunice, NM. Monday–Friday professional schedule with minimal night/weekend support as required. Up to 10% travel or as required. Some potential for radiological exposure.
