About this role

TerraPower seeks an Equipment Supply Manager to serve as single point of accountability for equipment development, delivery, startup, and close-out for the Natrium advanced nuclear reactor deployment at the Kemmerer Power Generating Station in Wyoming. You'll coordinate cross-functional teams across design, procurement, QA, fabrication, testing, logistics, construction, and licensing to deliver plant equipment on time and on budget for this next-generation sodium-cooled fast reactor project.

Responsibilities

  • Define and lead execution strategy for equipment across multiple teams, functions, and organizations
  • Articulate requirements, goals, and milestones for equipment delivery with appropriate stakeholders
  • Drive equipment delivery on time and on budget per the Natrium Project plan
  • Work with project teams to develop plans, influence delivery, and keep leadership informed on progress
  • Coordinate timely review of deliverables across cross-functional teams
  • Ensure work focuses on highest priority as reflected in the schedule
  • Initiate and rapidly execute recovery efforts when cost and schedule issues arise
  • Escalate challenges promptly to ensure adequate attention and resources for resolution
  • Execute equipment-specific procurement strategies with Corporate Procurement and Supply Chain teams
  • Coordinate vendor engagement strategies prior to RFP to ensure design specification viability
  • Track and monitor contract issuance and release for all equipment-related scopes
  • Oversee vendor performance for awarded scope
  • Monitor contract budgets and approved values to verify adequate funding and alignment with project parameters
  • Work with Testing teams to ensure development, demonstration, and qualification testing support equipment delivery needs
  • Manage risks to schedule and budget associated with testing programs
  • Reinforce organizational accountability for testing programs and results
  • Facilitate timely incorporation of test results impacting design
  • Manage fabrication vendors and witness/hold point notifications to ensure stakeholder involvement at critical stages
  • Ensure on-site requirements and assembly, installation, and inspection strategies integrate with equipment delivery plans
  • Ensure adherence to quality requirements, regulatory guidelines, and industry standards
  • Ensure up-to-date cost and schedule forecasting with trend and risk identification
  • Ensure adequate documentation, materials, spare parts, and support for planned on-site testing
  • Interface with Natrium Product Management to align equipment design, performance, and requirements
  • Implement accountability and governance checkpoints for testing programs
  • Conduct regular prioritization and triage reviews to maintain focus on highest-value activities
  • Lead development and implementation of recovery and get-well plans for cost or schedule deviations
  • Establish and execute formal escalation mechanisms
