Required qualifications

  • B.S. in Engineering or closely related scientific/physical science discipline, or equivalent work experience
  • For Engineer II: 2+ years relevant nuclear experience (1+ year with M.S.)
  • For Engineer III: 4+ years relevant nuclear experience
  • For Senior Engineer: 6+ years relevant nuclear experience (5+ years with PE)
  • For Senior Lead Engineer: 10+ years relevant nuclear experience (8+ years with M.S., PMP, or P.E.)
  • Good to excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with PC applications and engineering software

About this role

Environmental Qualification Program Engineer supporting nuclear power plant operations at Entergy's Russellville, AR facility. This role manages Environmental Qualification (EQ) files, engineering calculations, and maintenance/installation requirements for equipment and systems exposed to harsh environments. You will ensure all work complies with 10CFR50.59, NRC regulations, station licenses, and applicable codes and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and maintain Environmental Qualification files, calculations, and technical documentation
  • Ensure engineering programs and implementations conform to applicable codes, standards, station license requirements, and 10CFR50.59
  • Oversee development of drawings, specifications, and detailed design for fabrication of new equipment and modifications to existing plant systems
  • Design and coordinate special projects, corrective action plans, and improvement programs addressing plant problems and regulatory-sensitive issues
  • Facilitate cross-functional exchanges to resolve conflicts, promote team collaboration, and remove performance obstacles
  • Implement fleet lessons learned and industry best practices across the organization
  • Manage engineering costs through resource optimization and budget tracking
  • Complete and maintain 10CFR50.59 qualification

Preferred qualifications

  • SRO (Senior Reactor Operator) license or certification on PWR or BWR
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license
  • Environmental Qualifications (EQ) Card

Location, schedule, and travel

Onsite in Russellville, AR; up to 25% travel required; may be required to work additional hours and alternate locations during storms, outages, or plant emergencies.
