Engineering Manager
About this role
Engineering Manager at Constellation, the nation's largest clean energy producer. Lead technical engineering programs supporting nuclear plant operations. Responsible for engineering analysis, system problem resolution, design implementation, and mentoring engineers on complex reactor systems and equipment challenges. Requires independent technical judgment and regulatory compliance expertise.
Responsibilities
- —Develop, manage, and implement engineering analysis programs and activities supporting plant operations
- —Provide technical expertise as subject matter expert to identify and resolve equipment and system problems
- —Exercise engineering and technical leadership for short-term and long-term programs impacting site operations
- —Perform engineering analysis applying general engineering principles and nuclear industry best practices
- —Ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper configuration management; adherence to design criteria, codes, and regulatory procedures
- —Conduct independent research, reviews, studies, and technical analyses supporting engineering projects
- —Recommend equipment, concepts, and techniques to improve performance, reduce costs, correct design flaws, or achieve regulatory compliance
- —Provide emergency response duties and on-call coverage as needed
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Nuclear) or related science; OR Professional Engineer License; OR Active/Inactive SRO License with minimum 5 years of engineering or related experience, including 1 year of nuclear power plant experience. Must maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access with favorable medical examination.
Desired
Supervisory or managerial experience. Professional Engineer Registration. Advanced technical degree or related coursework.
Location
On-site at nuclear facility. Emergency response and on-call duties required.
