About this role

Senior Staff Engineer role at Constellation Energy supporting nuclear plant operations. You'll perform advanced engineering problem-solving in Mechanical or Instrumentation & Control disciplines, provide technical expertise on plant safety and reliability, lead engineering initiatives, and manage complex technical projects affecting reactor performance and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

—Perform advanced nuclear engineering and technical tasks in support of nuclear plant operations
—Conduct independent research, reviews, studies and analyses for technical projects
—Develop, manage and implement engineering activities related to plant safety, reliability, maintainability, and availability
—Provide technical expertise and consultation to identify and resolve equipment and system problems
—Manage engineering issues and provide task management oversight
—Recommend equipment, new concepts and techniques to improve performance, reduce costs, and ensure regulatory compliance
—Support plant design modifications, testing and problem solving
—Ensure all engineering products comply with applicable safety analyses, industry codes, and regulatory requirements
—Develop and coordinate supervisory activities including personnel management, budgetary oversight and planning goals
—Participate in emergency response, outage activities and departmental coverage as needed

Qualifications

—Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical or Nuclear)
—10 years of engineering experience
—Demonstrated technical leadership experience (e.g., Duty team lead, inspection lead)
—Teamwork and leadership attributes
—Maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements, as applicable
—Favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties
